Title: Bioenergy 2008 opens an important gap for biomass in Generates
The Technical Association for Waste Management and Environment (Ategrus) will be in charge of organizing the next conference February 28 Bioenergy 2008, within the programmed events within generates, which takes place from 26 to 28 of the same month on the campus of the institution Ferial de Madrid (IFEMA).
In addition, this year Ategrus convenes the second edition of the awards Bioenergy 2008. This award trying to assess and distinguish the actions undertaken by municipalities and businesses to introduce renewable energy (electricity, heat, cold, mechanical work) from the utilization of biomass and biofuels (biodiesel bioalcohol, biogas or BTL). It was so rewarding these efforts and achievements with the objective of stimulating technological advances and the establishment of production facilities and enhancement of biomass in the Spanish towns.
More than 20 papers will get together in Bioenergy 2008 to the players most relevant of all areas related to the conversion of biomass into energy. At the opening session intervene Julian Jaureguízar Uriarte, president and CEO of Ategrus, and Maria Teresa Estevan Bolea, former president of the Nuclear Safety Council.
In the morning session there will be an opportunity to address the legislative aspects and promotion of bioenergy with Carlos Mesa, of the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Issues (ICAM); technologies biogas production (biological processes and thermal) with Antonio Moran, director of Natural Resources Institute at the University of Leon; obtaining biodiesel from algae with Jorge Kaloustian, the company Oilfox of Argentina, the use of biogas in the urban transport with Manuel location, the company Iveco, or production and sustainable use of biofuels pelletizados solid with Rafael Santos Alonso, Eneragro.
In the afternoon, the interest will continue, focusing on the latest technologies in plants with biomass boilers, explained by David Martinez Poveda, Nova Energy; vision cross-energy conversion of sludge from wastewater treatment plants, with Xavier Elias, the Borsa de Catalunya byproducts; unique projects and initiatives in the field of bio-energy, with Elena Jimenez, CESPA, or logistics and supply of plant biomass, by Roberto Antonio, Factorverde.
