The German energy group RWE has made sense this Wednesday announcing the launching of "one of the largest projects of offshore wind turbines (offshore) of the world" off the coast of the Netherlands.
RWE just ask the Dutch authorities permission to build two offshore wind parks with a capacity of 2,000 total megawatts (MW). The two together represent one of the largest development projects wind power at sea in the world.

Number 2 German wants in its own way "contribute significantly" to the project of the Government of the Netherlands to raise to 6,000 MW by 2020 the production of wind-generated electricity in the country. The Netherlands currently have 108 MW of wind capacity offshore.

RWE promised to dispose of about one billion euros per year for this type of project.

This mega project looks to end two parks. The first, named Tromp, invisible from the mainland, is located 64 km from the coast of Ijmuiden, where the water depth reaches 26 meters, will have a capacity of 1,150 MW. The second park will be "an announcement later. RWE said in a statement. The first permits should be ready within the next 2 to 3 years.
